Why The New 52 Reboot Is Different Than All The Rest.

Hey all!  Long time no see.  I’m sorry I’ve been absent for a while but I’ve been busy writing for another site called Retcon Punch!  If you haven’t already, you should check it out.  We write reviews for all sorts of comics and our favorite part is when we get to talk to all of you in the comments section!  As for A Wild Crisis Appears, I’m going to be trying a lot harder to get back into my groove here.  I really appreciate all of you who follow me and leave comments.  I want to let you know that I’m not going anywhere! The New 52 Is A Bona Fide Success! But How Long Will It Last?

It’s been a little over a year since the launch of The New 52 so I feel it’s time to take a look back at this initiative’s success and look forward a bit to what The New 52 will look like in the future.  Regardless of how you feel about the reboot it’s clear that The New 52 gambit worked out very well for DC Comics and, according to some, the comic book industry as a whole.  In light of that, I wanted to talk about about the success of The New 52, the concept of reboots, and my concerns with how the New 52 will look like a few years from now. And More Reasons Why Scott Lobdell Angers Me.” then you know the reasons why I’m not the biggest fan of Lobdell.  However, in the spirit of fairness, I decided to write this post as he’s done the unthinkable and has actually written something I enjoy. Why Dan Didio Should NEVER Write Comic Books–A Look Back at O.M.A.C. of The New 52

At first glance this may look like a review for O.M.A.C., the series penned by Dan Didio and Keith Giffen with art by Giffen, and in many ways it is.  However, this isn’t entirely intended to be a review as it is also an examination of Didio’s writing skills (or lack there of).  It’s a critique of Mr. Didio that I’ll gladly give you the conclusion of at the outset.  Dan Didio should NEVER write comic books.   Continue reading
